Redcar Sports and Fund Raising Weekend Thank you everyone. Another £325.00 raised for the Charities, Cystic Fibrosis and Headway. Thank you to the scone makers, Carol White (who even delivered them to the Rally for us), June Gelson, Mavis Woodcock and Margaret Cockrill and to Julia Gibson for the lovely Gooseberry Tarts. Thank you to all who helped on the day including, Keith Carter, Andy Futcher, Gill Carter, Jane Bringloe, Sally Danks and obviously Mum and Dad, David and Karen. Thank you to everyone who contributed Tombola Prizes and supporting all the events. Particular thanks to Dad and Andy for getting the thorough soaking in the stocks. I think above and beyond considering the weather! For the teenagers, I thank Ben, Gemma and the help received from David and Bradley Simpson who helped us with the penalty shootout. Thanks again to everyone who helped in any way and very well done everyone. Chloe Young Teenage Chairman |
Ellerton Lake Rally Thank you to all who supported the Tombola and Bonus Ball. You were more than generous and £170 was raised for The Teenage Charities Headway and Cystic Fibrosis. Chloe Young |
Brompton 10% May I on behalf of The Teenagers say thank you very much to everyone who supported our Cake Stall and Raffle. From all those who baked the lovely cakes, then to those who bought them. The raffle went really well too. We rose over £300 that weekend thanks to your kindness and generosity. Our Charities this year are Headway and Cystic Fibrosis, both equally deserving causes. Thanks again and see you on the Rally field soon. Chloe Young |
Boxing Day Dip Congratulations and very well done to Chloe, Jemma, Lucy and Ben from the teenage committee who took part in the Boxing Day Dip at Redcar this morning. They were very ably led by Karen Young, the Teenage Liaison Officer, and supported by 2 of the more hardy (perhaps it should be foolhardy) members of the adult committee, Bernard D'Ambrosio and Andy Futcher. They took part in this venture to raise money for the teenagers' chosen charities, Headway and Cystic Fibrosis. Once again congratulations and well done to you all. Thank you also to everyone who turned out to support and cheer them on and also to those who have so generously sponsored them. Jean D'Ambrosio |
Teenager of the Year for 2009 is Chloe Young Congratulations Chloe |
Thank You I would like to thank all the Ralliers on behalf of The Teenage Committee for all their support over this last year. Without your support we could not have done as well as we did. We must thank everyone from those supporting the Bonus Ball, donating and buying books, making cakes and buying cakes, for providing raffle and tombola prizes and buying raffle tickets. Special thanks also to Mrs Judith Skerry who sold her hand crafted cards. It is with this kindness and generosity that we were able to donate £1000 each to Great North Air Ambulance and Butterwick Childrens Hospice. We will continue to do our very best to work hard to raise money for our chosen charities who, this year are Headway and Cystic Fibrosis. A young person in the Centre is affected by one of the disabilities. We had fun this year raising money and had a fabulous day out with a number of teenagers from the Centre at Lightwater Valley. All teenagers are welcome to join in and if you would like to join the Committee do not be shy, shout up, it is a lot of fun and it is something interesting to mention on your CV!! June, Mavis and Margaret for baking. Andy Woodcock and Andy Futcher for the erecting and loan of Gazebos which offered protection from the rain!! All those that loaned tables. Jane, and Gill and mum for manning the stalls. Special thanks to Phyllis and Alan Gilbert for attending the Rally especially to run the lawn darts competition.
