From our North Yorkshire Centre Chairman.

Please read the letter below that the centre has received from the current Northern centres Chairman.
After you have read it please bear in mind that myself and Bernard D'Ambrosio, as Northern centres reps, can clearly state that the current Northern Centres committee are working towards organising the 2013 event, to be hosted by the Yorkshire Dales Centre. At no time has there been any statement that 2012 will be the last Northern centres rally. Some people are just circulating a rumour and trying to undermine the hard work and effort that the Northern centres committee are putting in to organise the 2013 event.
There is only one way to answer this and that is to support the 2012 rally. Where else could you get a full Bank Holiday weekend of entertainment for £55?

Stan Gelson

It has come to the attention of the Northern Centres’ Committee that a rumour has begun suggesting that this is the last year of The Northern Centres’ Rally. As both the Chairman of this year’s Northern Centres and the Chairman of this year’s Host Centre, North Lancashire, I am writing to ask you to please inform your Committee and Centre members that this is not the case. At no time has the current Northern Centres’ Committee agreed that this will be the last Northern Centres. We are all working together to promote Northern Centres, to ensure that this year’s rally is a great success and to take the rally forward to greater things. I am asking all the Chairmen of the Northern Region to please place this letter on your websites and in your magazine publications. In addition to this, would you please raise the subject at flag on your rallies in order that the rumour is stopped with immediate effect.
This year we have found a lovely venue with easy access to the Fylde coast. Ralliers can enjoy all the on-site entertainment or use the rally as a base for visiting Blackpool, St Annes, Southport or a trip up to the Lake District. It would certainly be a challenge to find anywhere else locally for just £55 for the whole bank holiday weekend.
On site there will be the customary sports, arts and crafts and a host of daytime and evening entertainment in the marquee. We will have in attendance a variety of traders’ stalls, both food and saleable goods, for ralliers to wander round. Plus new attractions for children such as face painting, donkeys and bouncy castles. The North Lancashire Youth Committee will be running a tuck shop and holding a grand raffle in aid of their charity. In order to facilitate more options we have also arranged for the rally to open a day earlier to make the long weekend even longer for anyone able to spend the extra night with us. On the extra night an additional evening of entertainment is being hosted in the bar by South Yorkshire Centre.
I am sure you can see that the Northern Centres’ Committee and the North Lancashire Centre have “pulled all the stops out” to ensure that Northern Centre will be a wonderful event in 2012 and beyond. Of course people talk of the Northern Centres rallies of the past but we all believe in the Northern Centres of now and the future and would ask that you encourage your members to be part of it with us.
Regards
Kevin Ryles
Northern Centres Chairman
