the attached photograph is of a motor mover being fitted on our Ellemford Rally in May. I have never witnessed anything like this done on a field.

The Jim Clark rally was an outstanding success with one of the stages starting near to the field on the Friday night. This meant that the road had to be closed at 8 pm. Fortunately only the one outfit was delayed and arrived in on site after 1am. Sorry about that Steve.

Between the special stages the cars travelled normally on the road next to our field. We carried chairs to the roadside and waved to the drivers as they passed by. They acknowledged by waving back, hooting horns and flashing their headlights.
